Can I Get a Free Phone with No Home Address?
Many visitors come here wondering if they can still qualify for a free government cell phone if they have a PO Box. Unfortunately, the federal government does not allow the free cell phone service providers to provide free cell phone service to applicants that do not have a physical home address. This means that applicants that only have a PO Box will not be eligible for free phone service. This is unfortunate because in general these are the people who need this service the most.
At this time, we have not found a workaround for the no PO Box rule. If you fall into this category, please contact your local free cell phone service provider and ask them if there are any exceptions that they can make for you.
